Application for Youth Peer Support training
Provider qualifications
- Be 18 years of age or older.
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Current Idaho Peer Support Certification
- You must have a current Idaho CPSS certification in order to attend Youth Peer Support Training. You will need to upload a copy of your current CPSS certificate with this form. Expired certifications will not be accepted.

- Lived experience as a youth
- Self-identify as having personal lived experience of a mental health, substance use or co-occurring condition in your youth. You must have at least 1 year in recovery.
When considering your qualifications for attending Youth Support Endorsement Training, please also note the following important items:
- It is recommended that youth support providers be between 18-35 years of age.
- It is important for youth to experience their youth support provider as their PEER.
- It is important for youth support providers to have a strong personal connection to current youth culture to connect with youth on a peer-to-peer level based on shared knowledge and experience.
